* AARP DRIVING SAFETY CLASSES
(formerly known as 55 ALIVE)

This is a cooperative activity between the AARP and SeniorPlace. The class entitles people ages 55 and older to a 10% discount on their car insurance. The first time you take the class it is 8 hours long (2 days of 4 hours each). To retain the discount you must take a "refresher" class every three years. There are no tests. Class size is limited and a fee must be paid at the time you register. The classes are held at SeniorPlace with trained AARP volunteers. Contact SeniorPlace for class dates and times.
*COMPUTER CLASSES
A variety of classes from beginning to advanced are taught using computers with the latest Windows operating system. Our computer lab has high-speed Internet access and software allowing you to create word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations. Members may use the lab computers free during our regular hours. For class details, please check the newsletter and the weekly newspaper column, or call SeniorPlace.

We encourage all of our members to volunteer within the organization. There are many opportunities to volunteer. Please contact the SeniorPlace Director.
